Damen Lee Crane, age 42, of Michigan City, IN, passed away on Monday, March 19th, 2012 at Franciscan St. Anthony Health Center in Michigan City, IN.
He was born on November 01, 1969, in Flint, MI to Bill and JoJo (Messina) Crane who survive in Michigan City. Damen married Sarah West on August 27, 2005 in Michigan City who also survives in Michigan City.
Also surviving are four children: Karyin Mosher of Stevensville, MI; Derrick (Katelyn) Mosher of Michigan City; Amanda Mosher of Michigan City and Leigh-Ann Mosher of Michigan City; brother: Jason (Tammy) Crane of Knox, IN; and sister: Carla (Dan) Kientiz of Michigan City, IN; and his very special pride and joy grandson: Jude William Lingenfelter nephews: Brandon (Shayna) Ebert and Austin Armstrong and nieces: Ashley (Caleb) Walma and Ashley Armstrong. Damen was preceded in death by grandparents: Willard and Agnes Crane and Joseph and Grace Messina; brother: Justin Crane, and sister: Robin Crane.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home located at 613 Washington St. Michigan City, IN.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 directly at Faith City Assembly of God, Pastor Bill Barnes officiating, in Michigan City, IN at 11:00 AM. There will be one hour of visitation at the Church from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial of cremains will be held at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Michigan City, IN at a later date Damen was a caregiver for the disabled and special needs, which was his passion for many years, he was known for his kind and generous heart. Damen worked at Indiana State Prison since 2006. He was a member of Faith City Assembly of God. Damen loved to spend time with family and friends and do things for all people, he would have been especially proud to know he helped many people through his organ donation.
